Fabric: 13oz unsanforized, organic cotton, organic indigo selvedge from Kuroki mills. The color has a medium-dark, bluish-grey hue with peach and gold organic cotton stitching throughout. Most Japanese selvedge mills will not reveal all the secrets about their fabric formulas & when it comes to the dye technique here, this is true. What we can reveal is that this is another slow fader. This subtle low tension slub seems to shimmer in the light. The denim feels light & soft. The slub adds a handsome shimmer and provides a unique texture.. As time passes, the indigo will give way to a deep navy color & make for an awesome vintage fade. Due to the high quality of the fabric and the unsanforized nature however, these jeans will contour to most body types after a hot soak. Shrinkage value is 2-5%. Our choice of dye is a natural indigo dye that has been extracted from plants, and not the synthetic indigo dyes used in regular denim jeans that have been artificially derived from petroleum. This process uses a special eco-friendly dyeing method which reduces CO2 emissions by 50% compared to conventional methods and a washing process that is completely chemical-free. While it is typically a challenge to replicate the usual intensity with natural indigo dye, this method repeatedly dips the product in an indigo bath before resting it as many as 16 times to create an exceptionally intense hue.
